Polly Horvath 

Polly Horvath grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and moved to Canada when she went to college in Toronto. She lives with her husband, Arnie Keller, and two daughters, Emily and Rebecca in Metchosin, British Columbia. She has written numerous books for children including the National Book Award winning The Canning Season and Newbery Honor book Everything on a Waffle (both FSG). Her books have received many honors and awards in the United States and Canada, including two Boston Globe-Horn Book Award honors, Parents Choice Awards, National Book Finalist for The Trolls (FSG), Canadian Library Association Book of the Year, ALA Notable Books, Sheila Egoff Award, and many others.
