S. D. Schindler  

S. D. Schindler is the illustrator of many bestselling books for children, including Whittington written by Alan Armstrong (Random House), a Newbery Honor Book, and Terrible Storm, written by Carol Otis Hurst (Greenwillow). He lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He is also the illustrator of Covered Wagons, Bumpy Trails, written by Verla Kay (Putnam), and his latest book is Monster Mess!, written by Margery Cuyler (Margaret K. McElderry).
